Meet Maria Losseva-Malho

Maria Losseva-MalhoI am extremely passionate about educating people on the importance of healthy, nutritious eating as means of prevention of potential health ailments, both for adults and kids. My  mission is to empower people to become healthy by simplifying nutrition and creating abundance by providing the necessary tools to seamlessly implement a balanced lifestyle.

Are you a Budding or Established entrepreneur?

I have been an entrepreneur for over 10 years since a young age of 20. Over the years I have had a few businesses searching for my true passion which I have finally found.

Are you a Mother? If so, what ages are your children?

I am a proud mom of two kids ages 4 and 6.

Do you consider yourself to be a spiritually conscious/awakening woman?

I am definitely spiritual. I believe that there is something greater than us, a bigger energy that supports us. I know that the universe has got my back. It’s also a way of life; giving out more positivity and reducing negativity in your life.

As an entrepreneur, when did you realize self-care must be written into your business plan and why?

I realized the importance of self care after being in the business for about a year and really feeling the exhaustion of long hours, skipping meals and overall neglect to my body. I was completely burnt out and my productivity went down. This is when I understood that in order to have a healthy business I need to be healthy.

A woman who creates from fullness honors rhythm & ritual in her life. Can you share how you manage your business with the changing tides of your inner being – with who you are as a woman?

I think for me change in my business came with my own personal growth and the way I usually dealt with it is by starting a new business. I loved and enjoyed every single business I had however, with personal development over the years I have finally been able to dig deep into my true “why”. Also, after having kids I re-evaluated my businesses and my commitments to see what can stay and what can go, which led me to new ideas and more exciting opportunities. However, I know that at this moment I am exactly where I need to be.

What are your non-negotiable self-care practices that put your well-being first in life & business?

My absolute must self care practices are healthy nutritious eating, exercise and sleep (most of the time).

Let’s go deeper  – we live in transitional times where many women are building a business & parenting while also in a spiritual awakening journey. There are times when self-care is not enough to alleviate the transitional symptoms of a woman’s soul unfolding so that it’s business “as usual.” What have you learned about yourself and building a business during transitional times, as a conscious heart centered entrepreneur?

I have learned that I have to prioritize and learn to let go of whatever no longer serves me or causes negativity; whether it is a business, a client, an item or a person in my life. Also, I learned to manage my energy and use it for things that will bring a lot of positivity into my life. As much as we all want to change something negative into positive, there are times when that’s impossible so you need to stop, re-evaluate and move on.

Riding the waves of a dynamic and creative life, our point of balance is constantly adjusting.  What aspects of your nature tend to challenge you the most around maintaining balance in life & business, if you are not mindful?

My biggest challenge is that I am a type A personality and need to have everything finished yesterday. Also, when I get an exciting idea I need to implement it ASAP and since I don’t want to compromise on family time, I compromise on sleep. What I need to improve on is learning that whether I implement a new program tomorrow or in two weeks it is not going to make a big difference long term.

How has your life & business benefited as a result of placing self-care a non-negotiable foundation?

By placing self care as a non negotiable I feel happier, less irritable, and I’m able to focus better. I also had to learn at which times I function best for which activity. For example, I am best at doing tedious tasks such as paper work first thing in the morning, then self care like exercise, lunch dates, etc during the early afternoon and my best creative time is after 9 pm. Knowing my own clock has helped me avoid a lot of frustrations and made me that much more productive in my business and personal life.
